The complex nature of structures requires the use of finite element analysis, for both composite and isotropic material structures. FEA is extensively used (with composites capabilities for stress and failure analysis) in order to reduce the time required to design structures (see Design section).



High-Speed Rotor Disc

Stress analysis performed on high-speed rotor disc for Barr-Rosin Inc.  Stresses, natural frequencies were determined, as well as an estimation of critical operating speed for the rotor.





Rolling Parts of Printing Machine

Stress analysis performed to analyze rolling parts of a printing machine. Contact analysis under load was performed to determined stresses and deformations in order to solve a plate distortion problem.





Flight Simulator

Analysis and design of various components of a prototype flight simulator module. The design incorporated an extensive use of composite materials.
